Redefining Physical Therapy for Movement & Performance

Revolutionizing Physical Therapy Through Injury Prevention

At PreventPT, we believe that physical therapy should do more than just treat injuries—it should prevent them from happening in the first place. Our mission is to empower active individuals and athletes to move better, stay pain-free, and optimize performance through personalized physical therapy, biomechanical analysis, and functional strength training. Unlike traditional PT clinics that focus only on short-term reactive care for rehabilitation post injury, we take a proactive performance-driven approach, ensuring you build strength, mobility, and resilience to prevent injury and reach peak physical performance.

The Problems With Standard Physical Therapy Clinics

If you’ve ever tried to start physical therapy through the traditional healthcare system, you know how frustrating it can be. Instead of getting the care you need when you need it, you’re stuck in a cycle of referrals, insurance approvals, and waitlists—all while dealing with impersonal front desk staff who make scheduling feel like an uphill battle—before you even set foot in a clinic.

Even after starting treatment, most PT clinics operate under insurance-driven limitations, forcing therapists to juggle multiple patients, cut treatment times short, and follow generic protocols that may not be right for you.

The result? Delays in care, rushed treatment, and limited progress. This system isn’t designed to help you heal—it’s designed to fit within insurance guidelines.

Endless Referrals & Delays
✔ Requires doctor’s referral and insurance approval before starting.
✔ Weeks-long waitlists before your first session.

Insurance Dictates Your Care
✔ Limits the number of sessions and types of treatment covered requiring ancillary staff, not PTs, to administer your care.
✔ Restricts how much time your therapist can spend with you.

Overcrowded Clinics & Rushed Appointments
✔ Patients treated in groups with minimal one-on-one attention.
✔ Sessions cut short—often just 15-20 minutes of hands-on care.

At PreventPT, we do things differently. We eliminate unnecessary barriers so you can get immediate, one-on-one treatment with a doctor of physical therapy tailored to your needs.

Injury Prevention Isn’t Just About Avoiding Pain—It’s About Living Life Fully

Most physical therapy clinics focus only on rehabilitating injuries after they happen. But what if you could prevent injuries before they occur?

By taking a proactive approach to movement and strength, you can stay active, pain-free, and fully engaged in the activities that make life meaningful. Injury prevention isn’t just about avoiding setbacks—it’s about making sure you can hike that trail, play with your kids, compete in the sports you love, and move through life with confidence.

After months of no pt training. I finally got some sessions authorized. I was referred to Jim, he has a tremendous amount of help in my rotator cuff rehab and strengthening. I would highly recommend him. he not only goes after the current concern, but takes in past injuries. He helps train in away that should help you not injure yourself in the future. - 12/11/2025

Completely individualized care directly from a Doctor of PT, who also happens to be a very well rounded athlete. What more could you want? Highly recommended.

From the first phone call I had with Jim he was thoughtful and considerate, I could tell he was an expert I wanted to work with. I was recovering from an auto accident with a fractured cervical spine as well as some neuromuscular complications. He helped me to form a great rehab plan, administered exceptional hands on manipulation therapy, and kept things interesting. All of this while tracking my range of motion progress and strength gains in a quantifiable manner. - 11/20/2025

I went to prevent PT with what was diagnosed by a podiatrist as arthritis of my ankle. Very often when I rode my bike, I would hurt my ankle to the point where I thought I had sprained it. The podiatrist told me I had arthritis in my ankle and told me to stretch my calves. This was a little helpful, but didn’t get to the heart of the problem. Jim of prevent PT got to the heart of the problem very quickly. I had tendinitis of a very small but important tendon. Jim recommended I get orthotics which compensated for a weak arch that caused the tendonitis. He gave me exercises to strengthen the calf muscle/tendon responsible. This solved 90% of the problem for me. I also got great tips for working on my 67-year-old left hip issue which has been bothering me for over 35 years. Jim gave me a diagnosis which made sense. He described aspects of joint mechanics that I was not aware of, and gave me several exercises, which have helped very much. I recommended Prevent PT for anybody wanting to understand their muscle and joint mechanics and the proper stretch, stretches and exercises to alleviate pain and allow you to get back to your active life. - 11/05/2025
